Allentown pair escapes injury in crash at SCI-Frackville

ALTAMONT – Two Lehigh County residents escaped injury when their car crashed into an embankment on Prison Road, the access road to State Correctional Institution – Frackville, in Ryan Township last Sunday.

The crash happened just before 3:00pm when Jelisa Keels, 27, of Allentown and Jaxson Riddick, 27, of Allentown were travelling along the road in a 2010 Nissan Altima.

According to State Police at Frackville, along a left hand turn, the Nissan exited the roadway and struck the end of a guiderail and a boulder before coming to a rest with three wheels hanging over an embankment.

Both Keels and Riddick escaped injury and were wearing seatbelts.

Keels was cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license and roadways laned for traffic, troopers said.

Assisting at the scene was the Goodwill Fire Company of Frackville and Frackville Community Ambulance.
