ASHLAND – An annual event was held Saturday afternoon at Higher Ups Park in Ashland, across from Pioneer Tunnel.

Pioneer Day featured a multitude of vendors, both of food and crafts, live music, and more.

The event, which celebrates the 56th anniversary of the Pioneer Tunnel, the event’s host, ran from 10am to 5pm.

Vendors for the day included the Ashland Boy Scouts, Bethany E.C. Church, Groody’s Catering, My Pop’s Place of St. Clair, Willy’s Q Shack of York, and more.

Polka music echoed through the event, as did the whistle of the Henry Clay steam train.
