Ashland recognizes pastor for 15 years of service, dedicates day in honor

ASHLAND – Sunday, May 12 will be Pastor Dana Heckman-Biel day in Ashland, after the borough recognized the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church pastor with a proclamation.

During Wednesday’s council meeting, council president Ann Marie Groody read a proclamation from Mayor Ray Walacavage, who was absent.

“It gives me great pleasure to speak on behalf of the Ashland Borough Council and the residents of Ashland to say thank you for your 15 years of dedicated service to the community of Ashland,” Groody said. The proclamation then declared Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Heckman-Biel’s honor.

“Thank you for all the kind things that you do for everyone in this town,” Groody said, as Heckman-Biel approached council to thank its members.
