BARNESVILLE – A 22-year-old Morea man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of Barnesville’s Brown Bag Gas Station just before the end of 2017.

State Police at Frackville say Alec Steven Jackson, 22, of Morea, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the robbery and was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale on charges of Robbery with Threats of Serious Immediate Injury, Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another, Theft By Unlaw Taking, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Criminal Mischief, and Harassment.

Bail was set at $50,000, and Jackson was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison.

According to State Police, on December 27, Jackson entered the Brown Bag Gas Station at 832 Barnesville Drive, brandished the knife, and demanded the attendant open the register, then removed the register, containing $200, and left the business, taking off behind the store.
