BEAVERDALE, Northumberland County – A fire company in Mt. Carmel Township remains in service after the side wall of a garage bay was damaged in an accident.

The accident happened at the Beaverdale Fire Company near Mt. Carmel Sunday afternoon as the fire company was responding to a call when its brush truck turned too early while exiting the bay and struck the wall, dislodging cinderblocks.

Company personnel say no one was injured in the accident, and the truck was unscathed. They added that the fire company remains in service and will operate out of the garage bays at the rear of the property until the damaged bay is repaired.

The fire company, on the Locust Gap Highway just outside of the borough of Mt. Carmel, often responds into Schuylkill County on mutual aid calls.
