Columbia Hose holds 3rd Annual Bike and Jeep Run

SHENANDOAH – Postponed twice by weather, the Columbia Hose hosted their annual bike and jeep run this afternoon.

The run began at the firehouse on Shenandoah’s west end, with registration occurring this morning. T-shirts were sold, as were handcrafted owls. Chances for various prizes and raffles were also sold.The bike run began at noon, led through Shenandoah by Columbia’s Engine 64-10, and tailed by Rescue 64-50. The fire apparatus split from the group as they left the borough and returned to the station.

Participants continued on to Carbon County, stopping in Lehighton and Summit Hill, returning to the county to stop in Tamaqua, before returning to Shenandoah for food, refreshments and entertainment at the firehouse.
