Diocese of Allentown announces assignment changes for priests

NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – Some churches in our area will have new priests serving as pastor or administrator, come June 18.

The Diocese of Allentown announced the new assignments for priests yesterday, effective the 18th.

Assignment changes in our area:
Reverend Francis J. Baransky – from Pastor, Saint Richard Parish, Barnesville to Retired Priest of the Diocese of Allentown.

Reverend Francis Iroot, A.J. – from Parochial Vicar, Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Orefield to Parochial Vicar, Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland and Parochial Vicar, Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville.

Reverend Brian M. Miller – Pastor, Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville and Chaplain, Marian High School, Tamaqua also to Pastor, Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland.

Reverend Dominic T. Pham – from Parochial Vicar, Saint Ann Parish, Emmaus to Administrator, Saint Joseph Parish, Sheppton, and Administrator, Saint Mary Parish, Ringtown.

Reverend Paul L. Rothermel – from Pastor, Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland to Pastor, Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont.

Reverend Eric N. Tolentino – from Administrator, Saint Mary Parish, Ringtown and Administrator, Saint Joseph Parish, Sheppton to Prison Ministry at SCI-MahanoySCI-Frackville, FCI-Minersville and Schuylkill County Prison and Sacramental Ministry, Schuylkill Deanery, Nursing Homes with Residence, Saint Clare of Assisi Rectory, Saint Clair.

Reverend Monsignor Edward J. O’Connor – from Pastor, Saint Patrick Parish, Pottsville to Pastor, Saint Richard Parish, Barnesville.
