FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – The Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society celebrated its 20th year preserving local history this evening at the Fountain Springs Country Inn, and in doing so, they honored a resident’s donation which provided a new roof for the society.

The Society used the event to recognize Jean Twardzik for a donation which replaced the roof of the society’s building at 201 South Main Street.

County Commissioners George Halcovage and Gary Hess also spoke at the event, and proclamations were read from Senator David G. Argall and Representative Neal Goodman.
