Man arrested after armed domestic incident, pursuit in Mahanoy

MAHANOY CITY – One person is in custody and another suffered minor injuries after a domestic incident in Mahanoy City Monday afternoon, which included a police pursuit.
According to Mahanoy City Police, officers responded to the 100 block of East Pine Street for reports of a domestic incident with an armed subject around 5:00pm.
The man, who’s identity was not released, fled via vehicle and mutual aid units from neighboring communities stopped the man at Main and Centre Streets in Mahanoy City, where he was taken into custody.
Another person was evaluated by medical personnel for minor injuries but refused transport.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
