SHENANDOAH – Multiple marijuana plants were removed from a reportedly vacant home on West Centre Street in Shenandoah Tuesday evening, after neighbors reported two heat lamps running in the home, fearing a fire.

Around 11:00pm Tuesday, officers were seen removing the items from the home at 319 West Centre, situated in the center of the row, loading plants, fans, and other ventilation-related items into a trailer.

An investigation is underway, according to police at the scene, and it was not known at the time who owned the property, or if it was being rented out at the time.

Officers noted more information would be made available in the near future, though little was available Tuesday due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
