UNION TOWNSHIP – Three Mahanoy City residents were uninjured after a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Union Township.

According to State Police at Frackville, the accident occurred on Ringtown Boulevard near the windmill access road atop the mountain around 2:30pm.

Sandra Kline, 54, of Mahanoy City, was travelling eastbound in a 2013 Jeep Compass, negotiating a right-hand turn, when the vehicle traveled onto the right side berm, across the windmill access road, into a grassy/rocky area before veering back towards the roadway.

As the car approached the roadway, it struck a guiderail endpost with its right front, unearthing the post.

The Compass came to a rest on the eastbound shoulder of the road, and required towing.

Neither Kline, or her two passengers were injured.
