One injured in Yatesville off-road accident

YATESVILLE – A man was injured in an off-road accident along the pole line near Yatesville Wednesday afternoon.

Shenandoah fire crews were dispatched just before 2:00pm for the incident, in the area of the Schuylkill Energy Resources plant.

According to a Shenandoah fire marshal, a man was injured, and was subsequently taken from the scene via Shenandoah Ambulance to the Shenandoah helipad and an awaiting MedEvac helicopter.

From there, the man, whose identity was not released, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown, Lehigh County. 

Responding to the Yatesville scene were crews from Shenandoah’s Rescue Hook & Ladder and Columbia fire companies, as well as Shenandoah Ambulance. RH&L also handled the landing zone in Shenandoah.
