PATRIOTIC HILL – The driver of a pickup truck was uninjured after the vehicle rolled into trees on the roadside along Route 54 Wednesday afternoon.

Fire crews from Mahanoy City were dispatched to Patriotic Hill Road and Suffolk Road just before 5:00pm for a vehicle accident with a rollover, finding the maroon Ford overturned on the Patriotic Hill side of 54, between the former site of the St. Nicholas Breaker and the entrance to Ellen Gowen and Maple Hill.

The driver of the truck was uninjured in the single vehicle accident.

The truck was travelling eastbound towards Mahanoy City when it exited the recently tar-and-chipped roadway.

Fire crews from Mahanoy City’s Humane and West End Fire Company responded to the scene, along with Mahanoy City EMS.

The State Police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
