Polish American block party kicks off

SHENANDOAH – The Polish American Block Party kicked off this afternoon at Centre and West Streets in the borough.

​Bleenies, burgers, pierogies, haluskie, and more were served up, as Toolshed Jack performed.

A fire truck parade began at 7:30pm, winding through the streets of the borough and up to Turkey Run.

The parade consisted of fire apparatus from across the region, including Kulpmont, Pitman, Yorkville, and Coal Township, among others.

The event continues and concludes on Saturday.
