RINGTOWN – Heavier rains held off just long enough for the Ringtown Valley Fire Co. to spread Christmas cheer through the valley community via their annual Santa parade.

The parade formed at Jeld-Wen on the west side of town, making its way east on Main Street.

Led by a Union Township Police patrol car and consisting of Ringtown Valley Fire Apparatus, Santa marched along, visiting spectators along the way. Children and adults alike were given candy canes.

Outside St. John’s Lutheran Church at Main and St. John’s Street, Logan Streeter, 8, of Pottsville, leaped with glee as Santa came in sight.

Following the parade, Santa stopped by the Ringtown firehouse, where he was visited by folks of all ages — even a senior.

A light mist prevailed for the majority of the parade, progressing to a heavier rain when Santa entered the firehouse.
