State Police seize $24,000 in meth from Gordon home; Gordon man charged

GORDON – A Gordon man is facing charges after police found $24,000 in methamphetamine at a borough home following search warrant this morning.

State Police at Frackville, along with the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 6:05am this morning at a house at 411 Hobart Street.

Officers found 240 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $24,000, a shotgun, several packets of what is believed to be fentanyl, and items of drug paraphernalia “for the packaging, repackaging, and weighing of a controlled substance.”

Troopers charged John Kessler, 46, of 411 Hobart Street, with a felony count of possession with intent to deliver, a felony count of persons not to possess a firearm, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia.

Kessler was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville, and remanded to Schuylkill county Prison in lieu of $75,000 straight cash bail.
