SV band seeking votes to win $100,000 worth of instruments

SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Valley High School band is seeking the public’s help to win $100,000 worth of instruments in a national contest.

The Blue Devils are entered in a contest through the Manilow Music Project, created by Barry Manilow to “empower underfunded school music programs to provide quality music education.

The SV band, along with a multitude of others from across the nation, entered the contest by creating a video highlighting the band.

The video features Band Director John Shoener and several band members. As of Friday afternoon, Shenandoah had received 32 votes.
