FRACKVILLE – State Troopers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person who they say followed a New Tripoli woman from Tamaqua to the former Schuylkill Mall in Frackville.

According to State Police at Frackville, around 9:00am Thursday, the woman was travelling northbound on Route 309 in Tamaqua when she noticed a small white car travelling behind her.

As she traveled along PA Route 54 westbound and onto Interstate 81 south, the vehicle was still following.

She exited the interstate onto Route 61 at Frackville, and proceeded up to the McDonald’s Restaurant on Schuylkill Mall Road and the vehicle continued to follow her. Alarmed, she pulled into the drive through and asked the employee to call 911.

The white car turned around and fled.

Troopers from the Frackville barracks responded and are investigating the incident.

The woman described the tailing vehicle as an unknown make and model small white car with a wing or hood scoop on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Frackville at 570-874-5300.
