BROWNSVILLE - Two individuals have been charged after a vehicle was falsely reported stolen in the village of Brownsville in January, according to West Mahanoy Township Police.

Officers have filed charges against Anna Hornberger, 40 Brownsville, and Donald Crawley, 32, of Pottsville in connection with the incident.

According to police, Hornberger reported her vehicle stolen from her Brownsville residence on January 14, and denied knowledge of further details of the incident.

Following an investigation at the time, Crawley was found to be in possession of the vehicle, and that Hornberger had permitted Crawley to borrow it.

As a result, Hornberger has been charged with false incrimination, while Crawley has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Both will have to answer to their charges at Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker's Shenandoah courtroom.
