SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – A woman was uninjured when her Chevrolet sedan ran off PA Route 924 and into a ditch near the access road to the former Sandy Beach facility Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters from Shenandoah and Shenandoah Heights were called to the area of the Tastee Freeze around 4:00pm Thursday for reports of the single vehicle crash.

According to state troopers, a Chevy Cruze, travelling along Route 924 northbound from Shenandoah Heights, failed to negotiate a left-hand turn, travelling off the roadway, through the gate to Municipal Authority property, and into a ditch.

The female driver, who’s name was not immediately available, was uninjured in the crash, and was wearing her seatbelt.

Firefighters from Shenandoah’s Columbia Hose and the Shenandoah Heights Fire Company were at the scene for roughly an hour.
